Authorities say the 19 dogs ended up remaining stored by a squatter, who was allegedly keeping in the Paterson property and breeding the canines in horrendous circumstances.
Now, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI) in Oakland has joined forces with Second Prospect Pet Adoption League of West Milford to lead the rescue effort and hard work.
The canine have been documented to be weak and malnourished, appearing to have been cramped into cages, with a number of substantial puppies to a cage.

Feces included the whole household, even the walls, and spots on the floor inside the cages clearly show proof of canine digging to escape.
The puppies are a range of ages, from youthful adults to seniors.
Unfortunately, the alleged breeder still left with at minimum just one dog.
Quite a few of the pet dogs are seniors in want of quick healthcare care, and working with John DeCando, the city’s main animal manage officer, the RBARI and 2nd Prospect right away pulled the dogs and sought assist from spot rescues.
